I spent an hour photographing seven 11 year old girls who were invited to a pretty cool birthday party.  The birthday party included hair and nails done at a salon and then a portrait session with me in the studio!  Fun little model session!  The girls had a blast... and OMG I did too!

Today I the kids and I were a little restless so I decided to take them to the studio to do some test shots.  The kids and I had a fun time just messing around. 

When we got there all of the studio lights were in their bags since the guys at IKONIX were shooting at Wells Fargo Arena the night before.  Since I wasn't so sure how they were to be set up, the images below were taken with bookends and with both natural light and on-camera flash.  Tom of IKONIX did come down half-way though the shoot and help me set up the lighting, however my favorite shots were from before he got there. 

I am pleased with the way they turned out and am excited about working in the studio more.

Halloween Shootout

The guys at IKONIX Studio organized a great shootout with fellow photographers in the Des Moines area.  It was such a great time!  I got to finally put some faces to names and meet a lot of new photogs in the Des Moines area.
