- Jill Brown
- Jill Brown has over 15 years of experience in the field of photography. She has studied photography at Missouri State University and Maryville University, St. Louis. She spent time working on her personal fine art work for many years and in 2003 started her first wedding and portrait photography business in St. Louis, MO. Jill moved to Des Moines, IA in 2005 and has continued her wedding and portrait business along with her fine art photography. Jill currently has work displayed in and around the Des Moines area as well as work in personal collections around the world. Jill uses both medium format film cameras and digital formats to create her images. This is how the artist describes her work: “My work is a reflection of everyday life and places. I chose the medium of photography as a tool to capture the essence of the person or place. I create images to depict the subject as they are remembered in the mind. Not posed or unnatural, but as a window into the intimate world of the subject.” Jill Brown is a member of Professional Photographers of America.

W Family!
Angela and Michael were supposed to be married in October, however a surprise in Michael's work required that they tied the knot a bit sooner than then. Instead of shooting their wedding, as anticipated, we did a family session...

B Family!
The B Family and I met down at Jester Park for a photo session. We met about an hour before sunset - just so we could get a silhouette at sunset. It was a beautiful night - even the deer must have thought so because they were everywhere!

The lovely Ketterling family met me out at Jester Park a week or so ago on a somewhat dreary day. It was a bit darker than one would have liked, however it wasn't raining - so we weren't complaining!

Davis Wedding!
Last month I had the privilege to be a second shooter for Amy Allen. Amy Allen is a fantastic photographer here in Des Moines. This was the first time I've been a second shooter and I have to say it's great fun! I'm looking forward to doing it again!
The wedding was for another Des Moines photographer, Brian Davis. Wedding photographers everywhere here! It was great! The weather was beautiful, the setting was beautiful, the bride and groom were beautiful... You couldn't ask for more!
