Hutchinson Family Session!

Bobbi found me via the PPI website and I couldn't be more happy that she did!  Bobbi's family is absolutely beautiful.  We spent an hour of the afternoon inside and out of the Des Moines Botanical Center on a sunny Sunday morning.  

The kids were great!  So sweet and good.  The best part of the session was when the little girl walked into the little greenhouse and found a little tea party ready and waiting for her and her brother to sit and have tea!  I don't think I saw this little girl's face light up as much as that moment.  :)

Shield's Family Session!

I did a family session for Layna and her last fall.  At the time, Layna was pregnant.  :)  Layna called me earlier this year to do another session with her family with their new baby, Wylder!  He is such a doll!  We did the session 


I really love to do in-home family sessions, especially with kids.  Kids are so much more relaxed and in their natural element at home and the sessions always seem to turn out great!  This session was no exception!  


It was so wonderful to take your family's portraits again, Shield's family!  Thank you so much!

Klohs Family!

It was another beautiful late winter morning (I could get used to this!) when I arrived at the Klohs home.  Little Ella was getting the finishing touches when I walked in - an adorable ponytail right on top of her head.  :)  Little Ella is such a cutie!  Pretty curls in her hair... adorable chubby cheeks and a sweet little smile.  It was a great session!

Happy Helming Family!

I met up with the Helming family on an absolutely beautiful late winter morning... the sun was shining, the birds were singing and I left the house without needing a coat!  Yeah! 

I spent an hour with sweet little 6 month old Tyler and his family.  Tyler is the spitting image of his daddy and the apple of his mama's eye.  I just loved taking photos of him - such a ham!

Basteen Family Session | Des Moines Portrait Photographer

Amanda is a fellow photographer here in Des Moines.  Last February she contacted me to see if I would be interested in doing a portrait session for her and her family.  uh... YEAH!

We finally got our calendars together and took family portraits at Waterworks Park.  If you've never been there, you really should.  It has tons of great spots for family portraits!
